Mechanical Technician

Perform basic inspections and testing of product; documenting results within the Eaton Warranty system. Support the warranty inspections and testing processes of failed components by organizing, moving, disassembling and reassembling of components for an inspection/test to be conducted. Perform inspections and tests; document the results in various databases. Perform routine documentation of items on form prior to inspection/test. Assemble and load boxes for outgoing shipment on failed components. Perform housekeeping duties on a daily basis for entire area. Assist in organization, sort and maintenance of short term stored items. Perform an array of tasks and duties to support the inspection and testing area or other tasks as assigned by the team supervisor. Support Shipping and Receiving activities by prepping shipments as assigned.

Requirements
• Self motivated, reliable, and goal oriented individual
• Ability to achieve Forklift license (Eaton to provide training and license upon certification)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to use hand tools and air tools for disassembly/reassembly of parts/units, box assembly, and other misc items.
• Organized, clean, and safety focused (will require individual to perform daily housekeeping to meet the Campus expectation)
• Start work at 8:00 am. End day at 4:30 pm to complete an 8 hour shift.
• Follow all and Eaton policies, procedures and work instructions.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May require light back support belt on occasion. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires worker to supply safety shoes, back support, and safety glasses (if prescription)
