Position Description:
Title: Electromagnetic Compatibility Test Technician Job Description: Description: This is an excellent opportunity for a entry-level or experienced electrical technician position within the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) located in Saginaw, MI. This position supports the EMC Testing and Validation activities through performing Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Tests, writing reports, and communicating with test requestors.
In addition, daily assignments will include:
• Set up electronic devices for test and monitor performance
• Summarize Data and Create Test Reports
• Assist in the development of new test methods
• Set up and safely use radio frequency amplifiers, antennas, EMI receivers, ESD Simulators,
• Maintain accurate records of tests, devices and results
• Ensure correct setup and correct calibration factors are applied
• Comply with ISO17025 accredited quality system
• Create, maintain and update laboratory test procedures
• Set up electronic devices for test and monitor performance

Skills Required:
Required Skills:
• Interest in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) or RF fields
• Analytical ability • Problem solving / troubleshooting ability
• Ability to use typical electrical and EMC bench equipment (Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, EMI Receivers, Power Meters, etc)
• Proficient with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Access)
• Electronics experience including schematic reading, soldering and basic circuit construction
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
• Excellent Communication, Documentation Skills and attention to detail Preferred Skills:
• EMC testing experience preferred, but other radio or microwave equipment experience may be suitable.
• Experience with ISO17025 or similar Quality Systems
• Experience with Automotive EMC standards such as CISPR 25 and ISO 7637

Education Required:
Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or BSEE degree or demonstrated equivalent on-the-job experience
