Position Description

Seeking Manufacturing Engineer for manufacturing development and continuous improvement. Job responsibilities are:

* Participate in small groups focused on continuous improvements and provide technical expertise solving process problems.
* Coordinate and communicate with other departments (Engineering, Quality, Sales, Human Resources, etc.)
* Troubleshoot equipment and part defects. Implement corrective actions quickly and effectively.
* Manage process documentation such as work instructions and set-up instructions.
* Develop new manufacturing equipment and processes, write equipment specifications.
* Design and create new manufacturing fixtures, machinery, and tools to ultimately create a safer and more productive environment.
* Optimize the manufacturing processes to improve quality and material flow, while reducing cycle times and set-up times.
* Provide training for new and modified processes.
* Support environmental/safety issue resolution and improvements.
* Other duties as required.

Initial Duration: 6 months

 

Primary Skills Required

* Highly organized and process oriented * Must be a self-starter with high energy for change and teamwork. * Basic knowledge of electronics preferred. * Understanding of lean manufacturing, JIT, OEE, line sequencing, KANBAN, etc. * Strong interpersonal skills and organizational aptitude. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Must possess strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CAD programs, Visual Basic, etc.).

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering Required

Work Experience Required

Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Work Experience Preferred
