Seeking a Manufacturing Coordinator or Material Flow Coordinator (MFC) for a full-time position with benefits. The primary role of a Material Flow Coordinator (MFC) at pre-production operations is to function as an intermediary for our customers (the build floor, assembly plant teams, engineers following their programs etc.), and the material operations team, launch managers, processors, and quality engineers. When the build floor escalates a part concern, MFC’s investigate to determine the root cause, engage the appropriate parties and provide feed forward and feedback. MFC’s in the warehouse also are ultimately responsible to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Role and responsibilities:
* Responsibilities include supporting warehouse manager in overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the warehouse and operating systems.
* Lead and supervise other members of the team. Set goals, expectations, manage work schedules, manage time keeping and attendance.
* Must be able to work weekends and be able to flex working hours in conjunction with production team.
* Prepares materials for manufacturing use by picking, labeling, and staging shop orders. Coordinates timely supply of parts to production lines.
* Must be able to think on their feet under pressure during high volume production days. Speed and accuracy is crucial.
* Have an in depth knowledge of SAP and WM module.
* Have in depth knowledge of each production line and the parts required to keep them running after orientation.
* Knowledge of basic math. Oral and written communication skills. Analytical ability where problems are somewhat complex.
* Responsibility for maintaining inventory accuracy.
* Review various reports to scan for potential inventory inaccuracies, investigate, make any necessary adjustments and escalate any shortages to warehouse manager.
* Perform occasional cycle counts of warehouse inventory to maintain accuracy and correct errors.
* Must have the ability to create and follow work procedures and prioritize daily work load.
* Conduct effective problem solving for material related concerns to communicate issues and confirm of countermeasures and resolution of issues.
* Accurately update production schedule information in a timely manner on a daily basis
* Ability to read and comprehend instruction, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence.
* Ability to effectively present information to other team members throughout the organization.
* Track the flow of material between various warehouse storage locations and production floor.
* Update various files and tracking mechanisms daily to achieve metrics (discrepancies, damaged parts, lost/misdelivered parts, stocks/return to stock, etc.
* Ensure MFC standardized work is accurately documented, followed and signed off.
* Drive a safety first culture everywhere we work.
* Keep work area clean and neat according to 5s standards.
* Maintain order and neatness of parts in the warehouse and parts staged for production.
* Recommend methods for improving associate efficiencies and reduction of waste of materials and products.
* Complete all required training materials; attend all scheduled company meetings.
* Investigate build floor concerns and provide timely updates.
* Assist other warehouse employees as assigned by manager or as needed.
