Position Description

Seeking Engineering Lab Operations Coordinator for a full-time positon with benefits.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain laboratory quality systems documentation and under the supervision of management, develop into the departmental quality systems deputee.
* Be respponsible for managing equipment records, scheduling calibrations, facilitating external testing, and monitoring & reporting group performance metrics.
* Other administrative functions would include maintaining time keeping activities for the department, obtaining quotes, ordering of consumables, generating purchase orders, and procuring samples among other general office/clerical duties.
* General clerical duties
* Create purchase requisitions
* Order laboratory consumables and office supplies
* Perform timekeeping responsibilities for departmental personnel
* Enter incoming work activities and compiles monthly on-time reports
* Prepare presentation materials
* Work with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotes as needed
* Schedules and prepares for departmental meetings
* Record meeting minutes
* Organizes & archives project files
* Process incoming and outgoing items (parcels, test samples, instruments, etc.)
* Frequently exchanges information with others outside the work group
* Assist department management with quality systems documentation * Maintains safety protocols and good housekeeping standards

Primary Skills Required

* Proficiency using computer applications including MS Word, Excel, Access, etc. * Great oral and written communication skills * Great interpersonal skills to work effectively with others * Good organizational skills; able to meet deadlines * Ability to work independently * Ability to lift approx 10 lbs. frequently * Ability to assist engineers in writing test requests, compiling data, and drafting reports; Capability to read engineering drawings * Proficiency in computer and IT applications related to creating databases, managing Sharepoint / web pages.

Primary Skills Preferred

Education Required

* Associates degree or Bachelor's degree with a major in business, office administration, computer applications or technically oriented focus. * Equivalent training will be considered as well.

Work Experience Required

* Previous experience working in engineering or manufacturing environment preferably in an IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 17025 area * Knowledge of timekeeping systems, e.g. Kronos; database entry and maintenance desired. * Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
