Position Description

Seeking Electronics Lab Technician for a full-time position.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsible for supporting a variety of product design engineering tasks including prototype development, testing and related laboratory maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Follows safe work practices involving energy isolation (Lock Out/Tag Out)

* Installs equipment & instrumentation for use in evaluation of power systems products

* Performs testing directed by engineer and/or in accordance with applicable test methods and standards

* Implements modifications to electro/mechanical hardware and embedded software

* Records and analyzes test data for determination of validity and product performance

* Documents product non-conformances and provides feedback to project teams on test activities, open issues

* Organizes test data and prepares test reports

* Fabricates electro-mechanical test fixtures and electronic cable assemblies

Initial Duration: 6 months

Primary Skills Required

* Strong knowledge of electrical test equipment usage and applications * Good understanding of Electrical Analysis, Electronics, General Laboratory and Instrumentation * MS Office Applications * Good written and oral communications skills and be proficient in preparation of formal test procedures and reports

Primary Skills Preferred

* Experience with metal fabrication equipment such as band saw, drill press and press brake

Education Required

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering

Work Experience Required

* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related position * Experience in fabrication of electro/mechanical prototype equipment and harnesses * Experience in through-hole solder techniques

Work Experience Preferred

Test automation (LabView, Visual Basic). Electrical power conversion with knowledge of low voltage multiphase electrical systems.
