Position Description
Seeking Electrical Test Technician to perform Electrical Validation Testing for electronic steering systems. The job consists of:
* Setting up and running tests on electrical circuit cards, power pack assemblies and multiple sensors per specification.
* Test types include electrical, environmental, and mechanical (vibration).
* Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the Design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, and implementation of software operating systems, including but not limited to, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software.
* Participate in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems.
All equipment necessary for the job function will be provided. When testing requirements exceed the capabilities of existing equipment, it will be expected to have positive input on new equipment selection.
Initial Duration: 12 months
This is a fulltime contract position with benefits.
Primary Skills Required
* High level of interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.
* General interest in product Design, particularly automotive.
* Familiarity with basic machine types.
* Familiarity with all Design, build and test services.
* Highly proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Knowledge of most advanced engineering methods, tools, and procedures.
Primary Skills Preferred
Ability to select the proper equipment to perform the test, configuration of the equipment to perform the test properly, creating cable diagrams, identifying cable type and size for the load current and temperature ranges, and overall responsibility to complete testing on time while meeting all necessary requirements.
Education Required
Associates degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.

Work Experience Required
* 1 to 3 Years of Validation Testing Experience – or equivalent.
* Equipment knowledge across a broad range of electronics and data acquisition equipment along with thermal chamber operation.
* Oscilloscopes: Analog, Digital, CAN Communications Scopes.
* Power Supplies: GPIB Operations, Bandwidth analysis, Impulse Response Times.
* Data Acquisition: National Instruments hardware in conjunction with pre-written LabView applications.
Also, custom hardware with microprocessor based applications via a pre-written LabView application.
* Function Generators: Arbitrary waveform definition, remote trigger/synchronization.
* Circuit Design: basic circuit designs to achieve desired signals / monitoring. Voltage dividers, current limiters, over current protection.
