Position Description

Seeking a Logistics Coordinator or Customer Contact Specialist for the 1st shift at an automotive components manufacturing plant. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This person will as the liaison between the Company and the Customer. He/She will ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to the customer.
* Thoroughly understand the customer requirements and ship schedules.
* Maintain data integrity with respect to the billing process.
* Communicate ALL material shortages to the customers and Company's Plant Schedulers.
* Set up expedited shipments when necessary.
* Resolve any errors and quantity discrepancies.
* Work with other Customer Contact Specialists, Plant Schedulers, Shipping Clerks and the Planning Group.
* Must be able to work flexible hours, work daily overtime as required and work weekends as required.
* Directly interact with outside truck drivers.

Primary Skills Required

* Excellent written and oral communication skills * Pleasant attitude and speaking voice * Very detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask * Strong organizational skills and good time management skills.

Primary Skills Preferred

* Knowledge of QAD/TMS (Transportation Management Software) systems * Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes * Previous operations or logistics experience.

Education Required

* High school graduate with training such as that acquired in the first year of college, technical or business school. Bachelor's degree preferred.
