Engineering Change Coordinator

Position Description:

Engineering Change Coordinator. Engineering Change Coordinator processes Design Change Notice’s through the PLM system. This involves checking / reviewing the product drawings, making sure the Product DCN information and the drawing revisions coincide, validate all data in PLM for accuracy and verify the Bill of Materials information. Also enforce consistency, standards and procedures and work as a liaison between Product Engineering and Reprographics. This person is the “go-to” person for anything related to PLM. The main focus of this job is teaching, training, troubleshooting and advising in any / all areas of PLM and Change Management. Knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5M and general drafting practices is necessary.

Skills Required:

Position Description: The Engineering Change Coordinator processes Design Change Notice (DCNs) through the Siemens PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system. Primary interfaces include global Product Engineering, CAD, and Reprographics.

Responsibilities: • Audit and process EPS (Electric Power Steering) DCNs • Enforce consistency and corporate procedures • Review and audit product drawings to corporate and ASME standards • Format Product Specifications • Teach, train, troubleshoot, and advise in the areas of in PLM, CM (Change Management), and product drawings • Verify BOM (Bill of Materials) content • Manage PLM user access for EPS • Maintain web-based DCN application • Verify Product Specifications & Material Assemblies are related to parts • Knowledge of design/drafting standards • General knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5M-2009 • Knowledge of charted drawings and BOM structures • Knowledge of CM and PLM systems
