Payroll Analyst

Position Description: 
US Payroll Financial Analyst – Contract Position
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The individual filling this position will have primary responsibility for: Ensuring processing and financial reporting of payroll information is accurate and timely Perform audits to ensure payroll processing is compliant with local contract rules and corporate policies Communicate with Human Resource Staff to resolve employee related payroll issues Assist supervisors and employees with payroll related questions Communicate with Payroll System Vendor (Ceridian) to resolve issues Communicate with Vendor Benefit Providers (Unum; MetLife; etc) to resolve issues Special assignments as needed

Required Strong financial analysis & accounting skill-set Excellent problem solving and decision- making skills Self-motivated with ability to understand and apply local contract rules and payroll law to business situations Strong interpersonal skills Effective oral and written communication skills Excellent personal computer skills Ability to coordinate and understand data between multiple financial systems 

Skills Preferred: 
Preferred 2+ years of payroll related experience Previous experience with CERIDIAN payroll systems 

Education Required: 
DEGREE: BACHELOR MAJOR: ACCOUNTING OR FINANCE
