Position Description
Seeking a Test Engineer (Lab Engineer) for a full-time position with benefits. Electrical/Mechanical testing experience required. Work hours are normal day shift hours (9-6 or 8-5).
Responsibilities:
* Component engineering
* Work with the engineers to choose alternative components and update the BOM list
* Work with the project managers to purchase components and track shipments
* Work with the engineers to engage the suppliers
* Building and testing prototyping devices
* Construct, test, and repair prototype devices under test, including cables and connectors
* Troubleshoot prototype devices using documentation and inputs from design engineers
* PCBA rework and soldering
* Experience building and testing high-voltage and high-power electronics test fixtures a plus
Primary Skills Required
* Read electronic schematics and mechanical drawings
* Familiar with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, and other standard lab equipment
* Able to work under dynamic, time constraints, and multitasking conditions
* Self-starter and always willing to learn
* High sense of responsibility and urgency towards work assignments
