Position Description

Seeking a Project Engineer/Engineering Associate for a fulltime position with benefits. The primary task is Engineering Record Management. In this role, you will get all engineering/ PPAP records into one location with standardized file naming convention; management of data for resourced parts

Role and Responsibilities:
* Develop file management system and structure for 20,000 Engineering records
* Determine appropriate storage location for these records
* Determine appropriate permissions and access requirements for Engineering records
* Develop and document the procedure for maintaining the file management system
* Review Engineering records to determine active records and those with any resourcing activities that are no longer active but still required to be maintained for quality purposes
* Identify gaps in Engineering records for review and possible corrective actions
* Develop and prioritize action items for Engineering Record Management system
* Support special assignments as required. Examples include audits of asset library, ad hoc reports, etc.
* Develop and execution of project plans associated with in-house Steering and Suspension project.
* Develop documentation assets in maintain component records, flow and order.
* Support organization and management of product samples required for engineering review.

Primary Skills Required

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Must be detail oriented with excellent organization and time management skills and ability to work independently * Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office products) * Ability to lift +20 lb. components * Ability to routinely work in a hands-on manner

Primary Skills Preferred

* Proficient in using SharePoint * SharePoint document library administration expertise

Education Required

* BS in Mechanical, Steering, Packaging, or Industrial Engineering or a related field OR * Relevant work experience in lieu of BS degree considered
