An ideal candidate will be both analytical and hands-on and possess a high level of interpersonal skills to enable effective collaboration with customers, suppliers, and other Nexteer staffs. • 2 years’ experience in product design preferred but will consider less or alternative experience. • Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design. • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and other functional staffs. • Analytical ability and perseverance to solve unusual and difficult problems. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Strong computer application experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Skills Required:
• Develop and implement design solutions to technical issues with service parts. • Work with other Nexteer staffs to complete cost analysis and quoting of design changes. • Collaborate with designers to update drawings. • Engineering Release design changes through the Nexteer change management system. • Manage the validation of design changes. • Conduct product design projects per the Nexteer’s engineering process. • Maintain positive, effective working relationships with our customers. • Work with GSM (purchasing) and Quality to resolve supplier issues. • Collaborate with other functional staffs on cost reduction projects. • Support manufacturing plants in problem solving.
