Position Description

Seeking an Engineering Technician with Electrical or Mechanical background for a full-time position with benefits to support remanufacturing of Assembly & Test equipment for Diesel Fuel Injection Engines as well as production processes. The position requires 70% shop floor activity and 30% desk.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist engineers with a focus on post-development activities like processes, application implementation or operation.
* Assisting engineers with process improvements, testing studies, capability studies, documentation, machine trials, First Time Pass Rate (FTPR) improvements etc.
* Identify & capture all machine issues (mechanical or software failures, faults, etc)
* Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
* Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
* Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
* Ensures that all work performed meets required codes (OSHA, City and Federal) and is in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
* Oversee the Flow of Maintenance Parts.
* Shadow, document & help solve machine technical problems
* Utilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves and aprons.
* Responsible for proper care/cleaning of tools, parts, materials and work area.
* Other duties as assigned by management.

Primary Skills Required

* Electrical or Mechanical skills, Some electronics knowledge. * PLC, Windows based systems * PC literate Windows, Excel, Word , PPT etc * Ability to work on plant machines, diagnose, repair, maintenance, document etc. * Eager and willing to learn and ability to adapt to new challenges. * Good typing, word processing and communication skills. * Knowledge of plant manufacturing operations. * Ability to work well with others with minimum supervision. * Effective problem solving ability and hands on. * Eager and willing to learn and ability to adapt to new challenges.

Primary Skills Preferred

* SQL experience * CSharp experience * LabView experience desired.

Education Required

High School Diploma. Associates degree or college education preferred.

Work Experience Required

* 1-3 years relevant experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment. * Experience with plant floor machines or machine shop - maintenance, repair, diagnosis etc. * Automotive or industrial manufacturing desired. * Experience with FIE - fuel injection equipment, assembly and test equipment, SRA - Safety Reliability Analysis desired.

Work Experience Preferred
