Controls Technician

The position requires a candidate who can assist our skilled trades with mechanical and electrical issues with equipment. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible to help drive improvements of our manufacturing processes through continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate must have experience with troubleshooting equipment and be willing to accommodate a flexible schedule. Primary shift focus will be 2nd shift. Major Job Responsibilities: • Support and be a resource for skilled trades, manufacturing engineering, and operations • Be a part of the development, installation, and validation of new & retooled equipment • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise with production equipment • Understand & lead safety/ergonomic requirements • Communicate with all stakeholders, supervisors, engineers, skilled trades, etc. to meet customer needs • Be involved in the manufacturing engineering team

Skills Required:

At least 2 years previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred • Previous experience with programming and debug of Rockwell & Modicon PLC’s • Proficient in Ethernet Network systems • Previous experience with tooling & equipment preferred • Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls • Prefer experience with bar code scanners/cameras and printers • High level of analytical skills • Good oral and written communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques (i.e.: Shainin/Six Sigma) • Afterhours support and/or weekend working hours may be required
