Position Description
Seeking a Buyer for a full-time position with benefits. The Buyer will support purchases and programs based in North America. This person will interact with plant operations, supplier quality, engineering changes, delivery expectations, and cost reduction metric opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Procurement – identifies qualified suppliers, issues RFQs, and evaluates supplier reliability.
* Negotiation – negotiates price, terms, quality, delivery, and replenishment strategy, claims, etc., supporting required material flow and supplier performance and relationship development.
* Supplier Management – proactively monitors supplier performance (order placement, order changes, order performance, etc.).
* Commodity Management Support/Cost Out/Sourcing Transitions – supports development of strategy for assigned commodities.
Initial duration: 6 months.
Primary Skills Required
* Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Primary Skills Preferred
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

* Two (2) years of procurement, or supply chain experience including related intern experience.
* Procurement experience in engineering, manufacturing environment preferred.
