CAD Designer

Position Description:

Use CAD DESIGN software to generate 3D solid DESIGNs, for product assemblies, and associated drawings for complex products, mechanisms, and / or complete components, sub-systems of vehicles. Work independently with supervision. Work directly with engineer or customer.

Skills Required:

Vehicle DESIGN background, in-depth understanding of products and manufacturing operations. Competent in 3D CAD, including solid modeling, surfacing, assemblies, and drafting. Ability to evaluate basic tolerance stack-up. Ability to create parametric solids and free form surfaces. Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Working knowledge of Product Data Management file systems. Basic understanding of Configuration Management concepts. Basic knowledge of algebra, geometry, trigonometry. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others. Oral and written communication. Analytical skills to solve complex problems.

Skills Preferred:

Intermediated knowledge and ability to work in Siemens NX and Teamcenter in a fully integrated system.

3 - 5 years of relevant experience

College degree (associates) or equivalent training/experience. Experienced in use of CAD for model creation.
